Matti Pulkkinen will be interviewed at Radio Mega about Ultimatium and stuff (Oulu 103,1 MHz, Raahe 90,8 MHz, cable 95,9 MHz) on Monday, 21st September, 9.30am (gmt+02:00). Broadcast can be heard also from Radio Mega homepage. So tune in and listen what's going on and stuff. Three months has passed and little has happened. Tony has suffered not just only one, but two shoulder injuries and we had to cancel & postpone couple of our rehearsals (inc. annual Easter-rehearsals, unfortunately). As the summer passed it's mid, we try to spend more time rehearsing and bouncing ideas back and forth with our new songs. Also our to-be recording studio (updated Mastervox Studios) is quite booked at the moment, so we're not yet sure, when is the good time to start recording. So meantime we're taking all the time we have on pre-production and rehearsing, as you can seen from these pictures here 1st of April 2009: What's the status?Yep, we've been rehearsing new songs and demoing (still waiting for Harri to finish his part) and planning and stuffs. On Easter, we're rehearsing some more and after that it starts to be about a time to start working on schedules and plan this whole thing from top to bottom before starting the actual recordings. Songs itself have started to get their final shape on rehearsals and everyone are exited about songs, that sound more Ultimatium than ever before. Hi, after just bit over three years of work and battling Hwainoo is available for you all. While waiting for details of how German's and Japanese can get hold of the cd, let me remind that Mastervox records sells Hwainoo for 20€, including worldwide shipping. And Levykauppa x seems to have quite a nice price for Hwainoo so Finns, check it out. And it's finally available... Hwainoo, we mean. We think we repaired most of the compatibility issues, at least now pages *should* look almost the same with every browser and resolution. Please report for any bugs... 25th of March 2008: Compatibility issues...As some of you might have noticed, there seems to be some compatibility-issues on our new pages. Especially wide-scale resolutions doesn't seem to handle these pages correctly. And Firefox users might see the center backround rolling out on pages that have lot's of text. This issue is quickly corrected by pressing Refresh (of F5) on the page you're viewing. We try to fix (read: get someone more capable) these unwanted incompatibilities as soon as possible. Hi, graphs for the album are finally finished after couple of setbacks and delays. We will announce details of the album sometime soon, so keep checking for details... And yes, we've chanced the color theme of the page + added a background, so it isn't a bug or anything. Yeah, and btw. as you might have noticed, forum is disabled for new members to sign up / start new threads, this is because the forum was in path of being invaded by spammers and what-ever-penis-enlargemets-prozac-salesmen/women... And we still don't have a bass-player...

Hi, long and joyfull recordings of our yet untitled 2nd album are finally over. Next we sit back for a while and rest our ears. We start mixing the album sometime in March and we're not going to start quessing the exact release date but it's going to be this year, of course. There's some odd pictures for your enjoyment at 'Pictures'-section, from our recording-finalizations and pre-mixing. We also had time to have some fun with whole group... Enjoy and stay put for more info and stuff or something like that...

This week we have been mostly recording vocals. And we�re done with the vocals. We still need to add Harri's solos and some extra keyboards and we're done. Be ready for some kick ass heavy metal! We have not yet decided the exact release schedule for single and full-lenght, but we do know that forthcoming year does not come alone, it comes with our album :) Here's a picture of almost all of us, Tony was unfortunately unavailable at the moment so we just added him digitally (or poorly, photo by Maya, crappy edit by Matti). Anyway, Nauhgty New Year, remember not to be nice......................................................

20th September 2005: What we've been up to?
Meanwhile, recordings still continues, slowly, but still continues... More pictures, perhaps some studio report and stuff coming perhaps later on... 5th July 2005: Calm before the storm Hi, it's been bit quiet with updates recently, there hasn't been much to update though... We're quite done with pre-producing of our second album, lot's and lot's of hard work has been done for re-arranging our songs to match Tomi's excellent, extremely high and loud voice. Actual recordings has been re-scheluled, we�re again changing the drummer (again), so that means Petteri is out of the band. A replacement has already been looked up. More info about him, details about what's happened, comments etc. comes later as soon as we get our things wrapped up again... Be prepaired... 18th January 2005: More samplesWe're releasing anoter sample packade from our end-year demoing. So, our demo session is now over and outcome surprised us quite much. Let's just say that Tomi made an exellent impression to us and within a week, you can hear it also. We decided to put some samples of what is to come to our homepages. So wait for a while, we're putting those demo samples online a.s.a.p. 24th December 2004: Merry christmas and a happy new year Well, not much of a news now, we're entering the Mastervox studios next week to record some demotracks with Viiltola. Perhaps we're taking some more pictures also and who knows, we might even put some new samples online too, let's see what we can build up... Ultimatium wishes happy christmas and awesome new year to all of our fans and co-operative partners. New year and new tricks... 7th December 2004: Jt�s statementAs all of you know, I left Ultimatium after the gig in Kajaani. The decision had probably been building up for a long time, and finally in October I truly realized the fact that my heart was not 100% involved in Ultimatium. This was largely due to lack of time to concentrate on my own personal musical activities (Two Horn Unicorn and my musical studies). And you shouldn't be in band without 100% dedication, so I decided to tell the guys that I'm leaving Ultimatium. I asked Matti if he still wanted me to do the two upcoming gigs. He said yes, and I'm glad I did the shows, as I thoroughly enjoyed them, and the latter one in Kajaani was probably some of my best live vocals so far - my best in Ultimatium anyway, on or off CD. I want to take this opportunity to thank both the band and the fans. Although it's true that I never really did fit in the group (after all, all I was supposed to do with them was to provide vocals for the demo Follow The Star - it just got a little bit out of hand), I can say they are a great bunch of drunken little rascals with some fine skills. I'm happy for the fact that they already have a new singer so they can continue with their plans as scheduled. And to the fans: It was really great to see you guys pouring your positive energy into the band. I hope I was able to give some of it back at you on the gigs - I did give 100% on stage. So thanks and all the best to you Matti, Harri, Tuomo and Petteri, and thank you, dear fans. I'll see you all again somewhere down the road. JT signing off. Press announcement (1st of December)
Ultimatium announces new homepages, new singer and their future plans

Ultimatium and JT Partanen will continue to a different directions. Decision was made before the gigs in November and JT was the first to bring up the issue. There were never any arguments and decision and reasons are JT's own. Ultimatium wishes to thank JT for his time in our band and wishes good luck for the future. At the same day as JT announced his departure, it was obvious who would sing the second album. So we are not searching for a new singer, since mr. Tomi Viiltola will handle the vocals for Ultimatium. ROCK!!! Forthcoming second album is already demoed (without vocals) and Mastervox Studio will be the playground for our end-year vocal demoing. Eventually Ultimatium sneaks to the same studio to record their second, yet unnamed, studio album at the next spring. Release will be in the beginning of 2006. Second album will include (surprise, surprise) fast, melodic power-songs, couple of ballads and will be more indigenous and hopefully bit more surprising. In the end, second album will be (at the same time) faster, heavier, darker, happier ja simply better than New Dawn was. So beware... 16. November: Not much to update, since our totally new homepages should be out on the last week of November, after our gig in Kajaani. Also, we're "releasing" a bigger news update / press release at the same time, concersing our future plans and stuff... Oh, as you might have noticed, Ultimatium-related merchandise is now available, check it out... In the future, we're trying to get those goodies more available in Europe also...

We'll also propably play couple of gigs in near future, so stay tuned for more info 8. September: Yes, it does seem like that "New Dawn" is finally out. We are sorry about this delaying, new release date is 6th of September, so it's next monday. I think we all can wait for a week... 26. August: Hi, few days left until New Dawn... Competition has ended, thanks for all the answers... We'll be playing couple of songs in Suomussalmi in Marko Kemppainen's olympic silver medal celebrations this friday... 9. August: We've just received information, that our video, "Follow Me", will take part to Oulu Music video festivals. This itself is a victory to us, really :) 2. August: New bio pictures added, thanks for Immu for cameraworking and JT for editing... 28. July: We decided to put up a little competition, click here for details. 16. July: New pictures added. The release date of "New Dawn" is now decided and it will be announced as soon as we get sure of it. Album will be also released in Japan and some mid-european countries, which are bit unsure yet... 5. June: We've been frequently asked, "where to find the single?" and it seems like most of the record stores have been "sleeping" and haven't ordered the single, but if you are having trouble in obtaining the cd, ask your local dealer to order them or go to www.swampmusic.com and order from there... 18 June: We're trying a new system with our video, please inform us if there is any problems with downloading of the video... 16 June: Finally... The release date of single is today. To celebrate this first official release with Mastervox, we proudly present you the cover of the debut album "New Dawn". We also have more samples for you and a full lenght video of the song "Follow Me". ENJOY!!! 5. June: We're about ready... Slight updates... And "Mastervox metalsingle II" will be released 16.6. More info within a week. We're also trying to arrange couple of gigs for this summer, so be aware!!! 4. May: Due to a high request, we present you longer version of the song Follow me, enjoy. Follow me (1:10, 128kbp) Also, check out the screeshots from our forthcoming video (from the Pics-section) 3. May: I found the last "missing" demo review, from Inferno magazine (in finnish). Check it out from the section Press. 18. April: An update was asked and update we shall give, although not much to tell... Everything is proceeding nice and smoothly, single and the album is ready (relelease dates t.b.a) and the video is almost ready too. Still gotta work on the album cover... But the most important thing is that we've been rehearsing our asses off and now we play as small animals have sex, quickly. So book us for the next summer, (ultimatium@ultimatium.com) we're ready for some serious melodicmetal-carnivals... Over and out... 22. February: It's been a long time since last update. Things have slightly delayed (samples and releasing), but no worries, album is currently on the last stage of mixing and is soon to be mastered. We are also very happy to inform, that we are going to make a music video of song "Follow Me". We try to rush things, but what's sure is that some samples will be online after video shooting, which will be on 6th of March. 22. January: A Bit of a enchanced layout, not much visual updates, but some... 15. January: Added an interview from Viisari-magazine (in Finnish) 5. January 2004: First of all, happy new year! Second, I hope that you'll be patient with us and the mp3's yet to come. I spent three days at the Neo Studio last week, mixing and giving thoughts about the album and I can tell you, the album will sound awesome. Just you wait. We'll try to hurry things so that you could hear some samples of the forthcoming album soon, but I can't promise anything right now. Be patient, I promise you that your patience won't go in vain!!! 16. December: Added Links-section and Live-section. 16. December: Updated the bio of Petteri Moilanen, our drummer. Album is still under mixing and we're going to the studio to give our own opinion at the end of this year. 4. December: Damn, we are good at this... This might sound like a joke but Yes, it is true, Ultimatium has changed a drummer, again. Tero's musical inspirations and playing style didn't match Ultimatium's style at all, so we were forced to find new one with new style. So we have hooked up with Petteri Moilanen from Suomussalmi. The Fact that 4 out of 5 members spend their weekends at Suomussalmi gives us excellent chance to rehearse and grow up together as a band. 14. November: Minor updates like History and Band 9. November, 9 pm: It's now official, Ultimatium has inked with Mastervox records (see the official announcement below). Studio pictures available too in "pics" section, more is to come... This time it's for real and the future of Ultimatium seems to be bright, as we have more news to come. 2. October: New forum and guestbook online, check them out! 1. October: Ultimatium has signed an endorsement deal with Planeetta.net (www.planeetta.net). This means we can provide you with better homepages and pop-up free service. Update you bookmarks, new url is www.ultimatium.com 22. September: Again some new layout systems. Guestbook and forum will be offline for a while due the maintain. 3. September: New site! Layout and graphics by JT Partanen, also new logo is his work. Html-coding and all the other nerd stuff by Pulkkinen. 30. August: Drummer Mika Kurkinen has left the band. This is rather bad thing, since now we need new one and quickly. Hi, we've been a bit silent around these days, haven't we? Well, silence is not the right word to describe our situation, since now we have drums recorded to our 2nd album and the guy behind his enormous drum kit was Tony Qvick (ex-Agonizer). His amazing skill & style of playing our songs was more than we expected (or even needed), and so, without further blabing (actually after first rehearsals), we took him to be the drummer of Ultimatium...
